February In the Rear View Mirror
That went by quickly and what a great month for the Windsor Heights Chamber!
Thank you to all the members and friends who attended Celebrate Windsor Heights! It was a successful event and we honored the Windsor Heights HyVee as the Business of the Year, Lauren Campbell Photography as the Small Business of the Year and the Windsor Heights Citizen of the Year is Laurie Belin. We could not be more proud of all our honorees. Also a huge thank you to the Celebrate Committee that worked to pull off a great event.
The Ribbon Cutting at Sam’s Club was also a hit…lots of people and check the story about that here.
A reminder that the Local Option Sales and Service Tax is on the ballot for March 6th. Your Chamber has been supportive of the effort and we will hold a public meeting to detail the facts of the vote on Monday the 26th at 5:30PM in the City Council Chamber.
Upcoming Chamber Events
The public is invited to attend the second Windsor Heights Chamber public forum on the Local Option Sales & Service Tax which will come up for a vote on 6 March. During the forum you’ll learn what the Local Option Sales & Service Tax is, why we are voting, why your Chamber feels this is important to our business and general community and where the funds will go. Membership in the Chamber is not required.
